GiGi on Broadway, NYC
As most amorous Royal Caribbean fans know, Anthem of the Seas has made it's debut in Southampton, England. Six months of inaugural voyages will sail around Europe. On October 27, 2015 Anthem of the Seas will make her transatlantic journey to the NY harbor. She will then excitedly sail from New York's Harbor where she will settle in at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey and enjoy year round cruises.
Fittingly, as Anthem of the Seas permanent Home Port will be the NY Harbor, Royal Caribbean's latest larger than life, (Me! GiGi. I am the size of TWO female Giraffe's for real) whimsical art installation, created by Parisian artist Jean-Francois Fourtou would be suitably named from a legendary film and play. First debuting in NYC's Broadway theatre in November 1951, GiGi continues to be a legend and has returned to Broadway.
I am very excited by my name heritage and I hope both guests on board and those travellers who dream about being on board someday soon will come visit me. And, don't forget to........

Hi, I'm GiGi
Hi, I'm GiGi. I live on board a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship named Anthem of the Seas.
I had a pretty scary ride getting here as you can see, but I had faith in my handlers to get me safely on board.

Why am I called GiGi? I was created by french artist Jean-Francois Fourtou, so my name of course would be French. And, GiGi is a beautiful french name for a girl giraffe with a big pink inner tube, don't you think? Some decided that I was given my name by the crew working on board Anthem of the Seas when I arrived on Deck 15, but in fact that is merely a theory and guess. My Social Media Name and Identity was created by an American living very near to Cape Liberty where I am excited will be my permanent Home Port! Wow! Do you know where I get to go? I hear they are taking me to great places like Bermuda and the Caribbean.
I did have a peek around. Shhhhhh, that's just our secret. Look what I found! Guests of all ages are going to LOVE this spot!
